Nick Watson

Nick has over 27 years experience of employment related issues of which six were gained in Central London firms including Reynolds Porter Chamberlain of High Holborn, at which time he acted for several Trade Unions.  That experience has been invaluable in advising employers, for whom he has principally acted.  He has undertaken a wide variety of employment work dealing with most employment issues in which organisations become involved, including discrimination claims, redundancies (including a scheme involving several hundred employees), issues upon transfer of businesses, enforcing 'non compete' type clauses, long term sickness issues, contractual claims and unfair dismissal claims.

Nick also has extensive experience in dealing with dispute resolution matters principally for businesses, charities and institutions.  His expertise encompasses contractual disputes, director and shareholder disputes, intellectual property issues and professional negligence claims, both for Claimants and Defendants.

 He is particularly experienced in adopting a proactive and behind the scenes approach to try and assist in preventing problems escalating into major disputes, with a view to minimising the clients' overall exposure both to management time and legal costs.  Over the years he has acted for a large range of organisations including taking instructions direct from Legal Departments within those organisations.

 Nick is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association.
