Darren Hooker

Solicitor, Charity & Education

Darren is a solicitor in our Charity and Education Team. He graduated with an LLB from the University of Exeter in 2007 and qualified as a solicitor with the firm in April 2011.

Darren acts for a large number of charity and education clients and advises on all aspects of charity law and practice. Darren has established and registered numerous charities since joining the firm and has particular expertise in advising on incorporations and governance arrangements and also in advising on charity investments. Darren has significant experience in dealing with the Charity Commission and has recently advised in connection with a statutory inquiry.

Darren is a member of the Charity Law Association and was part of the Charity Law Association working party which responded to the Charity Commission’s consultation on the advancement of amateur sport. 

Darren is also a governor of a primary school in Southwark.
