Information revolution for Third Sector as two major players join forces

Stone King has recently advised charity client The Directory of Social Change on the high-profile transfer of ownership of Guidestar Data Services CIC and the website www.guidestar.org.uk from Guidestar International. This deal combines the most detailed repository of information about charities and the voluntary sector with the largest publisher of information for those who work in the voluntary sector.The Directory of Social Change is an independent charity with a vision of an independent voluntary sector at the heart of social change. It seeks to achieve this by providing essential information and training to the voluntary sector to enable charities to achieve their missions. Since 1974, it has been running courses and publishing charity and voluntary sector books on fundraising, management, organisational and personal development, communication, finance and law.
