David joined Stone King in 2008 as a Partner within the Trust, Tax & Probate Team. He was admitted as a solicitor in 1973 and became a Partner in a “top ten” London firm where he specialised in tax and estate planning for a broad range of UK and international clients and charity law. He moved to the financial services sector as a Director of Towry Law plc, gaining experience of insurance, pensions, and investment planning, and was for 15 years author of the insurance section of the Practical Tax Planning encyclopedia.

Since returning to private practice in 2002, David has specialised in “bespoke” tax planning and asset protection strategies for individual and corporate clients, with emphasis on Inheritance Tax and Stamp Duty Land Tax mitigation, and solving offshore problems.

He also undertakes, and advises on charity investment policy and governance issues. 

David is a member of STEP (Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners).
