Richard acts for many maintained and independent schools. He is a member of the Education Law Association and speaks frequently at conferences on education law issues. He is author of a textbook on education law “Running a School – Legal Duties and Responsibilities” (Jordans, 2004) which is designed for use by non-lawyers involved in schools. He edits the Statutory Instruments section of Education Law Journal and is a frequent contributor to Education Law Update and other education law publications. He was until recently a Governor of a denominational voluntary aided secondary school and a co-opted Governor of a community primary school. He is a Trustee of a non-denominational voluntary aided school and has recently been appointed as a Trustee of a proposed new voluntary-aided faith school.Associated Units
