Training

Many practical problems arise out of the Mental Capacity Act 2005 for both GPs and Solicitors when dealing with elderly patients / clients. A course has been designed to review issues relating to the making of Powers of Attorney, Advance Directives, and Wills, and the requirements of the Office of the Public Guardian and Court of Protection.

Problems of a different kind arise when patients decline to the point of qualifying for NHS Continuing Care. This course reviews issues from the patient’s and family perspectives.
