Advance Directives (Living Wills)

Some people want to make their wishes known in advance about their future medical treatment. This would be important if they were ever in a position where they lack capacity to make decisions for themselves, for example if they are in a coma.

It is possible for individuals to record their wishes by way of an Advance Decision (sometimes referred to as a 'Living Will').
