Our Services for Independent Schools

Committed and Effective Advice
We see our role as providing accessible and committed legal advice for schools. Our daily contact with a wide range of schools gives us a profound understanding of the operational realities they face and our advice can consequently be incisive and focused on solutions, rather than just options.
National Quality at an Affordable Price
We are externally rated by Chambers as in the top rank of specialist firms for both education law and charity law nationally. We are able to deliver this level of quality for an affordable price because of our regional office structure and range of charging methods.
All Your Needs Covered by One Service
We have specialists with significant experience in all aspects of the school sector. About 40% of our work as a firm is with education and charity clients and 12 members of our Education & Charity team work full time on pure education and charity law/governance matters, with 16 other qualified lawyers (in our property, employment, dispute resolution and commercial teams) whose time is primarily or wholly spent in acting for education and charity clients.
We offer a bespoke range of advice including:
Governance and Charity Support
Training and Knowhow
Our publications, including “Independent Schools Bulletin”, address topical issues within the sector and we run regular workshops and seminars addressing current issues and legal developments for independent schools. We also provide bespoke training for schools on request.
