Civil Partnerships
Civil partnerships were introduced to give same sex couples the same rights, benefits and legal protection that had previously been reserved for heterosexual married couples.Stone King’s team of family law solicitors offers a broad range of legal services to gay and lesbian couples. We have extensive experience of creating pre-partnership agreements for couples entering into a civil partnership. These partnership agreements have the same persuasive impact as prenuptial agreements in divorce cases.
If your relationship has ended, our solicitors will apply to the court for a dissolution order or, if you wish, draft a Civil Partnership Separation Agreement. We can also offer advice on issues relating to children, property, residence and financial provision. All our specialist mediation and collaboration services are equally available to same sex couples who have decided to end their civil partnership.
