Notary Services for Private Individuals
Andrew Mortimer, a partner and solicitor in the firm, also practises as a Notary Public. His practice as such is entirely separate from the practice of Stone King LLP, although by kind permission of that firm his practice as a Notary is based in its offices.The main role of a Notary Public is to authenticate documents and facts for use outside England and Wales. Very often private individuals require the services of a Notary Public to deal with the following –
- The execution and authentication of documents for use in connection with buying and selling properties abroad.
- The appointment of attorneys to act for them in transactions abroad, e.g. buying and selling properties.
- Immigration and emigration formalities.
- Adoption formalities.
- Marriage formalities.
- Consenting to children travelling abroad.
- Authenticating documents for use in litigation proceedings abroad.
- Authenticating documents for use in connection with administering the estates of people who have died abroad.
His practice as a Notary Public is supervised by the Faculty Office, 1 The Sanctuary, Westminster, London SW1P 3JT.
Andrew Mortimer will attend clients at any of the offices of the firm, or visit clients at their own homes and premises, to deal with Notary matters.
