With the Brexit transition period over, join Head of Immigration Julie Moktadir for a training session on the recent changes to immigration law in light of Brexit, the new points-based immigration system and what these changes mean for student sponsors in the Independent School Sector.

The training will cover an up-to-date overview of right to study checks, including for European nationals now that the UK has left the EU. Consideration will also be given to the movement of EU nationals, particularly now that EU nationals arriving in the UK will require a visa and possibly sponsorship to study. Both Student and Child Student sponsorship will be covered as well as the continued compliance requirement. Additional consideration will be given to the new flexibility within the rules for switching between immigration routes.

Basic Training

The basic training package is for Independent schools who sponsor students and costs £300 (Including VAT) per organisation. This includes attendance at the live training session, followed by access to the training video. After the training session, we will provide not only the presentation documents but also an immigration Compliance Checklist, A CAS checklist for each student’s file and an example Right to Study policy.

Right to Study Compliance Audit package

If you would prefer to have a full audit, we are including the basic training at no extra charge with any virtual or in-person immigration right to study compliance audit. This is a key package for independent schools, as the audit enables our experienced team to conduct checks on your current HR processes and procedures. Our audit and follow up report offer an overview of good practice and areas that may need updating. With the continued risk of civil penalties for failing to comply with the immigration rules, clients have offered excellent feedback for these packages.
