The government has launched consultations on two significant changes to trade union rights:
- A new duty on employers to inform workers of their legal right to join a trade union – including when and how this information must be provided.
- A proposed statutory right of access for trade unions to workplaces – enabling unions to meet, support, and recruit workers, and facilitate collective bargaining.
- Get clear on what’s proposed to change and why
- Understand your responsibilities under the proposed legislation
- Understand how you might contribute to the consultation process and influence future policy
- Ask questions and share feedback with our legal experts
These reforms could reshape how employers engage with unions and communicate with staff. Join us to explore the practical implications, compliance challenges, and how to respond effectively to the consultations before they close on 18 December 2025.
