Webinar: Gifts to charities that don’t exist – identifying the testator’s true Intention - 13.05.2021

This webinar will look at gifts to charities that don’t exist and consider ways of identifying the testator’s true intention. Members of the legacy team will look at the proper drafting of charity legacy clauses and the court’s approach to interpreting the identity of charities.

The webinar will consider:

  • When executors can identify the correct charity without the involvement of the charity commission or the courts.
  • When cy-pres or the Royal sign manual procedures are appropriate.
  • How to protect charity executors.
  • What to consider in a cross-border context.
  • Pragmatic solutions.

There will be an opportunity to ask questions at the end of the session. Questions can be submitted in advance during booking or emailed to events@stoneking.co.uk.

Please book your place here.
