With the Brexit transition period over, join Head of Immigration Julie Moktadir for a training session on the recent changes to immigration law in light of Brexit, the new points-based immigration system and what these changes mean for religious organisations wishing to bring overseas nationals to the UK.
The training will cover an up-to-date overview of right to work checks, including for European nationals now that the UK has left the EU. Consideration will also be given to the movement of EU nationals, particularly now that EU nationals arriving in the UK will require a visa and possibly sponsorship to work. Both long term sponsorship under the Minister of Religion (T2) route and short term sponsorship under the Temporary Worker - Religious Worker (T5) route will be considered during the session. Julie will also cover volunteers, common mistakes made by sponsors and the continued compliance requirement. Additional consideration will be given to the new flexibility within the rules for switching between immigration routes.
- Training Package Fees
The basic training package is for religious organisations and costs £250 per organisation. This includes access to the training video and a briefing sheet with key information after the session. Once you have booked your place for the training we will email you with a link to the session.
Immigration Compliance Audit package
If you would prefer to have a full compliance audit of your organisation, we are including the basic training at no extra charge with any virtual or in-person immigration audit. This is a key package for sponsors, as the audit enables our experienced team to conduct checks on your current HR processes and procedures. Our audit and follow up report offer an overview of good practice and areas that may need updating. With the continued risk of civil penalties for failing to comply with the immigration rules, clients have offered excellent feedback for these packages.
