The Employment Rights Bill has now received Royal Assent and is officially the Employment Rights Act 2025. This follows the House of Lords relenting during the final stages of parliamentary “ping-pong” earlier this week.
Coming into effect immediately is the repeal of the Strikes (Minimum Service Levels) Act 2023, which is a change aimed at reshaping the balance between industrial action and public service continuity.
