Stone King is offering free information sessions to people considering separation or divorce as part of an annual awareness week.
The firm’s Family Law and Mediation Team in Bath is offering couples and individuals free half-hour appointments to discuss how they can help, and is part on a nationwide initiative by legal body Resolution.
Sessions can be pre-booked at Stone King throughout the awareness week, which runs from 30 November – 4 December 2020.
This year’s theme is the Code of Practice, and will demonstrate the value of early advice.
Tracey Smith, Head of Stone King’s Family and Mediation Team, says: “We want to help people who are considering divorce or separation resolve things in a constructive way with their partners, and so avoid conflict and find the best way forward for them and their families.
“Our specialist team of solicitors can help you deal with the process, prioritising the welfare of your children, if applicable, and advising you on financial matters.
“These free information sessions will provide some clarity to aid people’s decision making at what can be a very difficult time.”
The work of the Family & Mediation Team has been recognised by the highly-regarded 2021 edition of respected legal directory Chambers, which says:
“Highly respected for its representation of clients in alternative dispute resolution proceedings, such as arbitration, mediation and collaborative law. Regularly acts on private finance and children matters, and also has strength acting for clients on public children law cases. Clients benefit from its additional expertise in complex matters such as tracing hidden assets in foreign jurisdictions.”
All free half-hour appointments must be pre-booked in advance with Stone King and can take place virtually or in person, if preferred.
Resolution is an organisation of 6,500 family lawyers who believe in a constructive and non-confrontational approach to family law matters.
