The countdown is on for the Big Hearted Bike Day, taking place in Bath on Sunday, September 29. Bath law firm Stone King is pleased to be sponsoring the inaugural event.

The Big Hearted Bike Day is being held to raise money for the Bristol Heart Institute at the BRI, and comes on the back of the successful Big Hearted Valentine’s Ball in February.

Both events are the brainchild of businessman Gerald Creed, and the cycling event will take place at the Odd Down Circuit in Bath.

There will be time trials around the track, men’s and women’s circuit races and a family fun session for all ages and abilities. Stone King is pleased to be presenting the Stone King Cup to the winning rider of the women’s circuit race. There will also be a ‘Devil take the hindmost’ knockout race.

Peter Woodhouse, Head of the Business Sector and Employment Team at Stone King, said: “We are delighted to get behind this very worthwhile event and we look forward to supporting it on the day. We are committed to playing our part in the community and so sponsoring The Big Hearted Bike Ride and supporting the Bristol Heart Institute was a natural choice for us.

Proceeds for the Big Hearted Bike Day will go towards medical equipment for the Intensive Care Unit at the Bristol Heart Institute. It cares for patients from Bath, Bristol and surrounding counties who need open heart surgery.

General admission tickets are £2.50, or £1.50 for children aged between 5 and 16 (under 5s go free), which includes the option to take part in the family fun session. More information about the event and taking part in the time trials and races is at:
