Schools Commissioner Frank Green was the keynote speaker at a special event to discuss the future of education organised by leading education law specialists Stone King.

The seminar was attended by the chief executives of over 20 multi academy trusts (MATs), many of who expressed concern about a lack of capacity within the system to enable the roll out of the academies programme.

The seminar, entitled Education - Life with the Conservatives, was held to give school leaders a clearer understanding of the likely direction of education policy over the course of the new Parliament.

The event focused primarily on the development of the academy model, including the future role and expected growth of MATs, the role of the Regional School Commissioners, funding challenges and the role of Ofsted.

Those listening to Mr Green speak at Stone King’s London office included the chief executives of some of the very largest trusts in the country.
