National law firm Stone King LLP has received recognition as a top tier firm by the 2018 edition of prestigious legal directory Chambers UK, launched on 2 November. The firm retains the highest possible ranking for its UK-wide education and charity teams, with recognition across other practice areas and 19 of its lawyers ranked individually for their expertise.

The directory describes Stone King as a “top-quality national education practice with strong experience advising independent and state schools” and is a “leading practice for academy development and advising faith schools”. Among six practitioners individually ranked in the firm’s education team are head of sector Roger Inman, who is described as “very knowledgeable, sound and experienced” and Senior Associate Louise Castle is a new entry, ranked as an ‘Associate to watch’.

Chambers UK 2018 highlights numerous notable practitioners in the charity team. Among them, the “exceptional” Stone King Chairman Ann Phillips and “very knowledgeable and professional” Partner Robert Meakin. Among others, it also ranks the “absolutely brilliant” Partner Hannah Kubie as Up and Coming, Alexandra Steffensen (née Whittaker) as a Star Associate, and Senior Associate Reema Mathur as an Associate to watch. 

Stone King is also recognised across further practice areas, including Real Estate, Transport and Private Client services. The firm retains its top ranking for Family/Matrimonial work in Somerset, with the team described as “highly respected” and one client referring to them as “relentlessly professional, always helpful and supportive”.
