Stone King has been appointed to advise the South Korean Legislature on charity legacy taxation in a cross-border context.

Daniel Harris, Partner and Head of Stone King’s International & Cross-Border team, flew to Seoul on June 24 to make a presentation as a keynote speaker at the National Assembly conference hall.

His presentation was later followed by more detailed meetings with government advisors and academics.

“We are honoured to have been invited to advise on such an important issue,” said Daniel.

“The invitation recognises the ‘cutting edge’ work that is being undertaken by Stone King’s International & Cross-Border team and reflects the high esteem with which the team is held in the UK and overseas.

“Our clients, whether NGOs, charities, other solicitors or simply individuals with assets overseas, come to us because of our reputation for being able to provide innovative and creative solutions which deliver positive results within a clear and competitive costs framework.”

The invitation comes on the back of a busy 2019 presentation schedule which has included Daniel speaking at the Law Society Annual Cross-Border conference at the Law Society in London’s Chancery Lane, and providing training to other solicitors on Cross-border matters.
