Stone King sponsors South West Charity Conference 2020

Stone King is delighted to once again support the South West Charity Conference in 2020, having been a founder sponsor at the inaugural 2019 event.

The Conference and Expo, coordinated by The Business Exchange, is taking place on Thursday 6 February at Bath Racecourse with the purpose of connecting businesses with the third sector. As well as networking opportunities, there will be a series of seminars aimed at local businesses and not-for-profit organisations.

The day will begin with a networking breakfast at 7.30am, with a guest speaker from Dorothy House Hospice Care and Stone King’s Peter Woodhouse will explore how charities and businesses can get their message across to connect with and support each other. The expo will open from 9am and run until 3pm.

Tickets are on sale for the networking breakfast and the expo is free to attend. Throughout the day there will be a series of seminars that are also free but booking is essential. Seminars cover topics including crowdfunding, finance FAQs, digital transformations, social media and Stone King’s Victoria Blake will be delivering a presentation around wellbeing in the workplace.

Peter Woodhouse, Head of Business Sector and Employment Team at Bath law firm Stone King, said: “There are many ways in which businesses can help charities and vice versa, but they each need to understand what the other seeks from the relationship. It has to be ‘win-win’. We are pleased to support this regional conference to provide a platform to bring together local organisations and the opportunity to facilitate some of these conversations.

Organisations exhibiting include Metro Bank, Bath University, Wessex Water, OJO Solutions, Naturally Social, Bike the UK, People against Poverty, Cornwall Glass, the Forever Friends Appeal, Julian House, 3SG and event sponsors Stone King, Milsted Langdon and Fidelius group.
