Stone King has taken a lead in organising a number of litter picks as part of its commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

The litter picking events will see its offices in Bath and Cambridge taking to the streets on Wednesday, September 25, and spending an hour sprucing the areas up.

Other businesses are planning to get involved and Stone King’s Birmingham, Leeds and London offices are also planning environmentally-friendly initiatives.

Stone King’s Managing Partner Steven Greenwood said:

“We live and work in beautiful cities and want to help keep them looking at their best. As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility we are committed to helping with good causes, and hope our actions will inspire other business to take part.

“We will also be working with councils to make sure that as much waste as possible can be recycled and not end up in landfill.

“We are committed to being a socially responsible business, both internally and externally. We believe that it is crucial for us to make a positive impact on the communities in which we work and on our stakeholders.”

Stone King’s commitment to CSR encourages all its people to use one working day each year to volunteer, with many opting to use an hour of this time for the litter pick.

In Bath, volunteers will be picking up litter along the River Avon while in Cambridge they will be tackling local park Parker’s Piece. The area to be spruced up in Leeds is being finalised.

Businesses interested in taking part should contact Samantha Walker or call 01225 478180.
