Amish is an associate solicitor in the Trusts & Estates team in London.
He advises on Wills and Trusts, Powers of Attorney, applications for Deputyship and the administration of multi-jurisdictional trusts and estates. Amish’s work also includes international mental capacity matters where he works with a number of foreign lawyers.
Amish provides clients with bespoke capital tax planning, specialising in capital gains tax and inheritance tax planning.
As part of the firm’s Legacy Team, Amish also undertakes considerable amounts of work where there are legacy issues for beneficiaries. Most recently, this includes:
- successfully challenging another firm of solicitors in its interpretation of tax law, resulting in a shift of half a million pounds of inheritance tax away from his client and four other charitable beneficiaries.
- advising on, and implementing, an efficient, practical, and collaborative solution to finalise a long-running estate administration, conducted by another firm of solicitors, allowing his client to benefit from the legacy sooner rather than later and avoiding ongoing costs of the lengthy administration.
He is often commended for his advice which is clear, pragmatic and methodical.
Following a first class Law degree and a distinction at Law School, Amish trained at an Ipswich firm prior to joining Stone King to develop his tax planning, legacy, and multi-jurisdictional experience.
