Charlotte joined Stone King as a Trainee Solicitor in March 2018. She qualified as Solicitor in March 2020 in the firm’s Charity & Social Enterprise team in London. Prior to this, Charlotte completed training in the Commercial Property, Dispute Resolution and Education teams.
She currently assists charities and social enterprises with a wide range of matters including establishing new organisations and projects, regulatory interventions, governance advice and commercial queries.
- Professional Experience
Throughout her training, Charlotte has frequently advised state-funded school clients on education and charity law, as well as in relation to commercial disputes, contracts, litigation and property transactions.
She has experience of regulatory work involving both the Education & Skills Funding Agency and the Charity Commission, and has advised on financial compliance, procurement by public authorities and serious incident reporting to the Charity Commission.
- Academic Experience
Charlotte studied English at the University of Cambridge, graduating in 2014. She passed both her Graduate Diploma in Law and her LLM in Professional Legal Practice with Distinction.
During her legal studies, Charlotte was involved in a number of pro bono projects, particularly in her law school’s housing legal advice clinic.
Prior to studying law, Charlotte was a youth worker for children and young people with disabilities, and worked in fundraising for a Cambridge-based disability charity. She is a member of the firm’s CSR team in the London office, and a volunteer at a local shelter for homeless people.
