Chris qualified in September 2006 and joined Stone King in May 2011.

Professional Experience

Chris is a Partner in the Commercial Property team and is experienced in particular in advising our charity and education clients. He has advised on a wide range of matters including advice to schools such as sales of property in order to better utilise school assets, leases of parts of school sites to third parties, academy conversion and academy transfer, as well as advice on charity leases and disposals and acquisitions by charities. Chris is also experienced in dealing with the Education and Skills Funding Agency and with Charity Commission considerations.

Chris spends much of his time on know-how and training in order to ensure the Commercial Property team is well equipped.

Chris’ experience in private practice is complemented by time spent as an in-house lawyer for a large national museum and time spent volunteering in the charity and education sectors.

Academic Experience

Chris studied maths at Nottingham University before completing the law conversion course and the Legal Practice Course at BPP Law School in London.

Interests

Outside work Chris is a busy father and volunteers his efforts in a number of different ways with his local church.
