Daniela specialises in the representation of children, both through their Children’s Guardian and direct, in care proceedings where the local authority has made an application to court. Daniela also represents children through their Children’s Guardian and direct, in respect of contact disputes and determining where a child should live. Daniela represents children directly and through their Court appointed Children’s Guardian ensuring that they have a voice in Court proceedings that will decide their future.
Professional Experience
Daniela has a wealth of experience in acting for teenagers directly; including those cared for in secure units. She also represents children through their Guardians in cases involving social services and in private disputes between their parents.
Daniela has regularly dealt with complex matters including cases where allegations have been made of serious inflicted injury and sexual abuse.
Daniela has extensive experience in special guardianship matters and adoption.
Daniela is a member of Resolution and sits on Resolution’s national Children Committee. She has been a member of the Children's Panel since 2011 and sits on Wiltshire Family Justice Board and is the Chair of its training sub-committee.
Daniela acts on a regular basis for children directly and through their Guardians within Bristol, Bath, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire and Swindon.
Daniela was appointed a Deputy District Judge on the Western Circuit in February 2024.
Academic Experience
Daniela has a strong academic background having been awarded a Law LLB (Hons), a Law LLM Masters and an International Relations MSc Masters from the University of Bristol.
Daniela has taught on the Social Work MSc at the University of Bristol

In her spare time Daniela is an amateur artist, enjoys spending time with her family and travelling.
