Esther joined Stone King LLP in May 2018 from the Education Team at Harrison Clark Rickerbys. She has advised education clients since her qualification as a solicitor in 2006.
She supports state and independent school Senior Leadership Teams and Governing Bodies in dealing with a range of sensitive and complex education and employment related issues.
Esther has helped school clients navigate the Special Educational Needs and Disability Tribunal, advised on complex reorganisations, employment tribunal claims, senior exits, managing allegations against staff, parental complaints and academy conversions.
Esther is a panel member of the Teaching Regulation Agency, and consequently hears teacher disciplinary cases on behalf of the Secretary of State for Education.
As a former governor, she understands the wider strategic implications of education sector policy and the various challenges facing schools in a rapidly changing sector.
She is known for providing clear, pragmatic advice in partnership with her clients’ goals.
