Hugo is experienced in all aspects of real estate law including landlord and tenant, investment, development and finance. Originally from Clifford Chance, Hugo joined Stone King in 2010 to oversee the development of the commercial property offering in the London office and moved to Cambridge in the summer of 2018 with the same remit for that office. Hugo is deeply immersed in the firm’s core business and education sectors. Key clients include the Satila group, the Redab group, Fidessa Group plc, The Haberdashers, a number of high profile French schools and the Refugee Council. Hugo’s approach is strategic, pragmatic and commercial but also detailed and technical where necessary. Clients admire his determination to get the deal done.
Recent work highlights include:
- acting for the Satila Group on the acquisition, development and letting of Old Sessions House, 22 Clerkenwell Green, London a grade II* listed 18th century courthouse;
- acting for Ecole Jeannine Manuel on substantial leases in Bedford Square and Russell Square to facilitate the opening and expansion of EJM’s bi-lingual school;
- acting as general council for the Worshipful Company of Haberdashers and the Satila Group.
