Education Team

Lucy joined Stone King in July 2016 as a Paralegal in the Dispute Resolution Team before becoming a Trainee Solicitor in September 2016. During her training contract, Lucy worked extensively with schools from both an education and employment law perspective, qualifying as a Solicitor in the Education Team in September 2018.

Lucy advises both independent and state sector schools on a wide range of education law matters, including safeguarding, governance, compliance with regulatory requirements and the effective management of pupil and parental issues.

Prior to joining Stone King, Lucy read law at the University of Exeter where she graduated with a 2:1. She went on to work at an international real estate investment firm in London before completing the Legal Practice Course at BPP Bristol, gaining a Distinction.

During her studies, Lucy volunteered with a number of organisations, including the Personal Support Unit where she provided assistance to litigants in person, and HM Prison Exeter where she helped to run the family visiting process and delivered employment law advice to prisoners.
