Lucy advises schools on a wide range of matters relating to education law including safeguarding, behavioural concerns, allegations of discrimination, compliance with regulatory requirements and the effective management of pupil and parental issues.
Lucy also advises in relation to independent school merger and acquisition projects. In particular, she has undertaken extensive due diligence exercises in order to assess certain risks, such as compliance with regulatory requirements and historic safeguarding issues.

- Professional experience
Lucy joined Stone King in 2016. As a Trainee Solicitor, she worked extensively with schools both in an education and employment law context, before qualifying as a Solicitor in the Education Team in 2018.
- Academic experience
Prior to joining Stone King, Lucy studied Law at the University of Exeter. She went on to work at an international real estate investment firm in London, before completing the Legal Practice Course at BPP Bristol, gaining a Distinction.
During her studies, Lucy volunteered with a number of organisations, including the Personal Support Unit where she provided assistance to individuals without legal representation, and HM Prison Exeter where she helped to run the family visiting process and delivered employment law advice to prisoners.
