Myles joined Stone King as a paralegal in August 2010 having previously worked in the corporate secretary’s team at Lloyd’s Register in London.
Myles studied the part time Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in Bloomsbury while working at Stone King and qualified as a solicitor in our Corporate and Commercial Team in June 2017.

During his time as a paralegal, Myles dealt with governance issues in relation to charitable trusts, charitable companies and academies. In addition, Myles has supported a wide range of educational institutions with academy conversion projects including the David Ross Education Trust, Future Academies and Compass Academy Trust.
Myles has particular experience in corporate governance and company law as well as practical expertise in relation to the regulatory requirements of charitable companies.
Myles has developed client workshops on company secretarial procedure for the firm’s academy and charity clients and he is a key contact for Stone King’s company support retainer.

During his recent seat in the charity and social enterprise team, Myles advised on the establishment of arts charities, faith charities and disaster relief charities. He also delivered trustee training.

Myles has been involved in over 60 complex academy conversion projects and has recently acted for two separate Academy Trusts in their acquisition of local nursery schools.

Myles has written articles and developed training on the legislative changes introduced in June 2016 by the Small Business, Enterprise and Employment Act 2015.

Outside of work Myles actively contributes to the local community as a school governor and a charity trustee.
