Robin Phillips

With 30 years of legal experience, Robin is well-known in the Bath area and has built up a wealth of loyal clients and contacts. He is committed to a practical, common sense approach to property transactions, based on the understanding that clients whilst understandably wishing to be properly advised, are not interested in paying their lawyers to pursue esoteric points of law of little or no practical significance, merely increasing the cost and delaying transactions.

In the early years following qualification Robin practised as a criminal lawyer and was one of the first solicitors in the area to achieve Higher Rights of Audience entitling him to appear in the Crown Court.

In 2003 Robin was appointed as a Tribunal Judge for The Mental Health Tribunal for Wales. In 2019 he was also appointed as a part time Judge for the Residential Property Tribunal in Wales, this incorporates a number of jurisdictions including the Residential Property Tribunal and Leasehold Valuation Tribunal.

Robin's interests include music – collecting records/CD’s, playing classical guitar and live music. Also, running half and full marathons and motorcycling.
