Vicki was called to the Bar in 2002, and began her career with HM Customs and Excise in the Tax and Excise Litigation department. From there, Vicki moved to the Charity Commission, and acted as legal adviser to the compliance team there, providing advice and support on all levels of compliance case, including advising the Commissioners on decision reviews, and building up expertise in Information Law.
Vicki joined Stone King in 2007, and began her career in the Charity and Social Enterprise team, advising clients on a wide range of charity law issues from start-up and registration through to winding up and closure. After completing a Masters in Information Law and Practice, Vicki began providing advice on data protection and Freedom of Information to clients across the firm. Vicki’s background in regulation and charity law means that she brings a practical and sensitive approach to advice for all clients, but particularly those in the third sector.
Vicki has extensive experience of advising on complex Subject Access Requests, particularly those involving employment or safeguarding issues, preparing policies and advising on Freedom of Information requests.
Outside of work, Vicki is a member of the Charity Law Association, as well as being an assistant Brownie Guider, and a governor at Sherborne School, where she chairs the committee that oversees Sherborne International.
