The new Government has now published this sizeable parliamentary Bill which will implement key elements of its policy, its stated aim to be to “remove barriers to opportunity in schools and improve the education system to make it more consistent and safe for every child”. Our briefing, linked below, provides a summary of how those changes will legally change schools’ duties and opportunities in practice, in particular significant changes to pupil safeguarding, employment of staff and school governance.
We will continue to update this briefing as the Bill goes through its parliamentary stages. If you have any questions, please contact our expert team.
