Legal Advice

We offer an initial meeting at a fixed cost of £295 plus vat. At this meeting, we will be able to provide you with detailed advice and set out your options. This arrangement may not be suitable in all cases, but we will confirm this when you make an appointment.

The first meeting can be overwhelming so we will send you a letter of advice afterwards, which clearly sets out everything we have discussed. After the initial consultation you can choose the level of further support you require, based on your specific needs and budget.

If you feel that you need support with a court application, we will provide you with a clear pathway for next steps and also provide you with an indication of costs.  We are able to offer support either in the background by way of helping with drafting applications, statements etc or represent you in court proceedings.  Whatever stage you are at, we will provide you with clear legal advice so that you are able to understand what options you have and what your next steps should be.

Mediation

We recognise that making arrangements that meet your children’s needs are of the upmost importance to you.  Mediation enables parents to reach decisions together for the benefit of your children.  Our mediators are all trained lawyers and we are also able to meet with your children where appropriate.  We will encourage you to seek legal advice when its needed and will also be able to signpost you to other support services that may be able to help.

We will meet with you both separately first for your MIAM (mediation information assessment meeting) where we will discuss with you confidentially how mediation may be able to help as well as giving you information as to the process and carry out safeguarding checks with you.  This meeting will enable you to make an informed decision as to whether mediation is right for you.
