Stone King is delighted to offer an Advent Series of webinars aimed specifically at our faith based charities. Each Wednesday during advent we will review some of the key legal developments of 2021 across a range of pertinent areas. The webinars also create an opportunity for an open forum for attendees to discuss, reflect and share their thoughts on the past year and months ahead.
In our series, we will cover commercial property, international movement post-Brexit and pandemic, international and cross-border matters and employment law. Attendees will also receive a written summary of the topics covered during the series at its conclusion.
Julie will discuss a number of key aspects relating to the movement of Ministers of Religion and Religious workers and share experience of changes since the introduction of the new points based system and during the pandemic. This will be an opportunity to discuss the movement of religious workers during the year, and especially during the Christmas season, when there may be greater movement and reliance on visitors visas. With ample opportunity to raise questions, this will be a truly interactive webinar.
In just 20 minutes, Dan Harris, head of the Charity Legacy Team and head of the International & Cross-Border team, will discuss some of the real-life practical complications encountered when dealing with wills left by faith charity individuals and the administration of their estates in a cross-border context.
A 30 minute interactive session led by Harriet Broughton. Harriet will look at the employment and HR experiences of charities in the last 18 months and what we can learn from those experiences when looking to build strong foundations for the future. She will also consider the challenges that remain, together with likely future trends with a view to helping charities remain one step ahead.
