Preventing Sexual Harassment in the Workplace Training

The Worker Protection (Amendment of Equality Act 2010) Act 2023, places a duty on employers to take reasonable steps to prevent the sexual harassment of their employees including third party sexual harassment.. Part of an employer’s preventative duty will include ensuring their staff are trained and have an understanding of what sexual harassment in the workplace is and the role that they and their employer have in preventing it.

We are pleased to offer a sexual harassment training product.  This flexible training product can be customised for individual staff members, and is hosted online within our training platform, containing engaging videos and quizzes, as well as text content.

Important information to note

The Worker Protection (Amendment of Equality Act 2010) bill, places a duty on employers to take reasonable steps to prevent sexual harassment. Although this training will help you to meet your obligations in relation to the preventative duty, on its own it will not be enough as there are a range of steps you need to take.

There will be further information that you will need your employees to know, which will be specific to your organisation, such as:

  • Where they can find the policy that deals with sexual harassment.
  • What your expectations on workplace behaviour are, including behaviour online, social media groups (WhatsApp etc.) and other methods of communication.
  • How they can raise concerns, and who they should raise them with if they experience sexual harassment.
  • Ensuring they understand what the organisation will do if they are a perpetrator of sexual harassment.

Think about your organisation and consider how and where sexual harassment may occur. You should consider surveying your staff to understand this better.

Make sure you conduct regular risk assessments to highlight the risk areas, and then create an action plan to set out how you will tackle areas of concern. Included with your purchase of this training, we will provide an example risk assessment and action plan builder document.

It will be important to consider third party harassment and for you to take steps to protect staff from this.

This training is hosted on the Stone King Training Area. For further information on how we use your data, please see our privacy policy and the Stone King Training Area Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.
