For those in the Charity, Business & Social Enterprise and Education Sectors, Stone King’s upcoming events cover key reforms including those relating to charity land disposal and changes to skilled worker visa routes.

Our Ramadan series continues on Wednesday 20 March at 1pm with a free session covering key reforms in charity land disposal.

Hosted by real estate lawyer Yasemin Isik this session covers changes introduced by the Charities Act 2022 and is relevant to any charity considering transferring ownership of property. Learn more and book onto the session here.

Later in the week, on Thursday 21 March, we have two free sessions on work visa and sponsorship reforms.

The first, which is hosted by immigration lawyer Sarah Keeley at 2pm, addresses how the UK’s new migration system, effective from April 2024, will impact schools’ hiring practices. Book your place here.

The second session at 3:15pm, also hosted by Sarah Keeley, will focus on the impact of the same changes for employers, with a particular focus on reforms to skilled worker sponsorship. Register for that session here.

Next week, on Tuesday 26 March at 10am, Head of both Immigration and our Faith Sector Julie Moktadir is hosting a session looking at the immigration routes which can be used by organisations in the charity sector to bring volunteers to the UK.

This webinar will outline volunteering opportunities permitted under the Visitor Visa route and outline other routes where voluntary activities are permitted. Learn more here.

Later in the week on Thursday 28 March at 11am charity lawyer Sam Dowgill will host the third session in the Ramadan series, which is relevant to smaller faith-based charities and will offer a broad overview of the process for registering Islamic charities in England and Wales. Register for this interactive session here.
