Jessica Ventham
Associate

Jessica originally joined Stone King as a trainee in 2021 and qualified into the Construction team in 2023. After a year at RPC, specialising in construction professional negligence disputes, Jessica re-joined Stone King in September 2025 as an associate solicitor in our Construction and Dispute Resolution Team. Jessica specialises in construction and has experience with both contentious and non-contentious work. She can assist both claimant and defendant with any construction related issue or project.
 

Jessica has an extensive portfolio of experience, including:

  • pre action protocol, litigation, mediations, adjudications, and other forms of ADR for the claimant
    and defendant;
  • strategy advice to avoid costly/drawn out legal proceedings and reach a settlement where
    possible;
  • claims varying from low value (small claims) up to £10million, and providing commercial as well as
    legal advice;
  • coverage advice for insurers; and
  • review and preparation of various contractual construction documents including collateral
  • warranties, JCT contracts, appointments, leases and licences.

Jessica has also worked on claims, including:

  • JCT/ NEC breach of contract claims;
  • professional negligence of construction professionals including architects, structural engineers,
    contractors, and CLT specialists; and
  • subrogated claims for insurers, surveyor/valuer claims and agricultural claims.

Jessica has an extensive academic history. In 2005 she attended City of London Freemen's School, followed by a BSc in Criminology and Social Policy at Loughborough University. Upon graduating from Loughborough, Jessica undertook the Graduate Diploma of Law at the University of Law, before completing the Legal Practice course in 2020.

In her spare time Jessica likes to compete in triathlons, and enjoys running. She also has a keen interest in farming and ecology.
