Katherine Trickett
Associate Solicitor

Katherine is an associate solicitor in the Commercial Property team. 

Katherine qualified in September 2015 and joined Stone King in December 2017. She previously trained and qualified at a large national firm as a property solicitor with a focus on agriculture and rural land.

She now works with Christopher Jones and others specialising in charity and ecclesiastical property law issues for The Church of England. She acts for numerous Dioceses including the Boards of Finance and Education and other church bodies, charities, not-for-profit organisations, and other landowners in a broad range of property transactions. Her property practice encompasses transactions involving churches and churchyards, parish property, board corporate property, clergy housing, agricultural and development land, reverter of sites, mortgage finance, and related matters.

She is experienced in advising our charity and education clients on a wide range of matters including advice to schools and site trustees such as sales of property in order to better utilise school assets, leases of parts of school sites to third parties, academy conversions and academy transfers, as well as advice on a broad range of landlord and tenant issues and disposals and acquisitions by charities.

Katherine studied joint honours Medieval History and Italian at the University of St Andrews before undertaking her GDL and LPC at Kaplan Law School in London.

Outside of work Katherine assists with the family farm and enjoys walking in the Yorkshire Dales. She also enjoys cooking.
