Your future, our commitment: empowering future legal experts
The legal profession is evolving and redefining what it means to be a lawyer. At Stone King, we are embracing this change and invest in developing future‑ready lawyers who can adapt, lead and make a meaningful impact.
Much of our work directly supports charities, schools, social enterprises, faith organisations, public bodies, businesses and individuals who are building stronger communities and driving positive societal change.
If you’re looking for a training contract that prepares you to thrive in a changing world and gives you the chance to make a meaningful difference along the way, you’ll find it here.
What makes training at Stone King different?
At Stone King, trainee solicitors are a valued part of our future. We recognise your potential and are committed to giving you the time, support and opportunities you need to grow with confidence and purpose.
Our enhanced 30-month training contract is intentionally designed to give you the space to develop meaningfully.
As part of your training, you will complete five six‑month seats, including dedicated time with our business development team, our AI Hub, and within our volunteering and community programmes.
Discover your path
At Stone King, we recognise that individuals join the legal profession through a variety of pathways, and we’re committed to supporting candidates at different stages of their qualification journey, including those embarking on a career change. Whether you’re progressing directly from university or bringing valuable experience from another field, we welcome diverse backgrounds and the strengths they bring to our firm.
We offer an enhanced 30‑month training contract that accommodates both the SQE and LPC routes. SQE pathways are funded by the firm, although we’re unable to cover assessments or exams that have already been completed before joining us.
While we do not provide funding for the LPC, LPC graduates are welcomed and will receive the same high‑quality training experience as all other trainees.

Our aim is simple: a fair process where you feel informed, respected and able to show your true potential.
