At Stone King, we understand that everyone’s journey is different, which is why we offer a number of pathways.
Training Contact (SQE)
The Solicitors Qualifying Exams (SQE) is the new pathway for aspiring solicitors to qualify. To be eligible for the SQE, you need to have a degree (or equivalent) in any subject.
You can complete the SQE through an apprenticeship, and we have offer a variety of pathways with varying entry points that we support at Stone King. See our apprenticeship page for more details on our apprenticeship pathways.
If you have already started the SQE, or are not eligible for an apprenticeship, you can still complete your two years of qualifying work experience with us on a formal training scheme.

Training Contact (LPC)
To qualify under the traditional Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Training Contract, you will need to have completed, or be in the process of completing the Legal Practice Course. Following completion of the Legal Practice Course, you will need to complete a two year period of recognised training (formerly known as a Training Contract).
The Legal Practice Course has now been replaced by the Solicitors Qualifying Exams (SQE), therefore the above pathway is only available to those who have already completed, or are in the process of completing the LPC. For more details on transitional requirements, visit the SRA website.
