Expected October 2026

For most claims, current the time limit for bringing the claim to the Employment Tribunal is 3 months from the date of termination or the date of the act being complained about. From October 2026, the time limit will be increased to six months, which will give employees more time and flexibility to bring an employment claim. It is likely that this extension will lead to an increase in claim volumes.
