Stone King is contributing a series of free webinars in support of the Association of Colleges’ (AoC) annual conference centred around the theme of Opportunity. In this webinar, Partner and SEND specialist, Roger Inman, will be joined by David Holloway, AoC’s Senior Policy Manager SEND and Cambridge Regional College's Assistant Principal SEND & Designated Safeguarding Lead, Jeremy Lloyd. They will discuss the opportunities and challenges for colleges if the current SEND reforms achieve an increase in SEND delivery to learners through our mainstream educational system.
Our discussion will be focusing on key recommendations made by AoC in its Opportunity England SEND statement, including commissioning (especially specialist provision delivered in mainstream settings), funding (especially students without EHCPs), SEN staffing and other specialist resources and proposed Department for Education (DfE) standards for SEND. The discussion will be as interactive as possible, including delegates’ questions and comment, with the aim of sharing experience and approach as we enter this next period of significant SEND reform.
