In the light of Wednesday’s autumn statement, we now have confirmation that VAT will be imposed on school fees from 1 January 2025, with business rates to follow on 1 April 2025. In the light of this, we have gathered experts from tax and accounting, property and legal sectors, along with input from guest speaker David Woodgate from ISBA to discuss the key immediate implications of this change. We will consider the medium to long term impacts on the sector, along with practical advice on steps which schools can be taking now..
