Volunteers from Stone King’s Leeds office have sorted 3.5 tonnes of donated food for the Leeds South and East Foodbank.

Craig Vincent, Ammaarah Chothia, Sarah Keeley, Tom Vasov, and Holly Risk (pictured from L-R) swapped their office attire for high-vis vests and helped get donations ready for delivery to local schools, churches, mosques and other community hubs.

The Stone King team, based at the firm’s offices at One Park Row in Leeds, worked their way through pallets of donated food, which will make 8,330 meals for users of the foodbank.

“We are pleased to play a part in supporting the vital work of the Leeds South and East Foodbank,” said Partner, Craig Vincent.

“It was a really rewarding experience and we look forward to continuing to work with them in future.”

This was the second time Stone King’s people have helped at the charity, with Tom Morrison, Sam Dowgill, Ryan Butterworth, Holly Joyce and Penny Walters pitching in earlier this year. Penny coordinated both visits and leads on the relationship with the foodbank.

Stone King gifts all its people one day a year to spend volunteering and on other CSR activities.
