Our employment team's legal expertise has been independently recognised for the first time in the industry bible Chambers UK 2014.

The annual directory, which identifies the top solicitors and law firms through in-depth interviews with clients and industry insiders, also praises the work of our corporate and commercial property teams.

Stone King's employment team - which is particularly strong in advising the education and charity sectors - handles a range of employment issues, from the Transfer of Undertakings Protection of Employment (TUPE) and industrial action to day-to-day HR assistance.

A client says in the guide: "They have a range of experts in a variety of legal fields whose expertise we can draw upon. Response times have been exemplary."

We also receive glowing commendations for our corporate/M&A work. The guide says: "Clients praise the firm's depth of understanding of corporate and charity law."

Stone King's real estate team receives positive recognition as well. The team is well known for its property work - especially in the charity sector - and also acts for academies and maintained schools. Clients say: "They were efficient and pleasant to deal with", and "they're great charities and public sector lawyers".

Another adds that the head of our commercial property team Hugh Pearce is "very efficient and prompt in responding to everything we've put before him".

Stone King's managing partner Steven Greenwood said: “It's gratifying to see our employment team recognised for the first time in this influential guide to the nation's leading legal practitioners.

"The fact that our corporate and property teams have also earned praise is independent acknowledgement of the very high standards of service we offer to the commercial and public sectors."
