Stone King’s Julian Blake to speak at BSIN event

After identifying a gap in networking groups for businesses and individuals working in areas that have social, community and environmental impacts, the Bath Social Impact Network (BSIN) was created by Bath Spa University and 3SG.

The next BSIN event will be held on 19 September 2023 and will feature an informative talk from Stone King Partner Julian Blake.

Julian has specialised for over 30 years in the law as it relates to social enterprises, charities, responsible businesses and co-operatives, and has a wealth of knowledge and expertise.

The title of his upcoming BSIN session is ‘Setting up a new Social Impact organisation, which is the best framework best for you?’

Julian’s talk will cover the different options including community interest company (CIC) or charity, and look at the pros and cons of each model.

The event is open to social enterprises, B Corps, CICs, and co-operatives, as well as those want to find out more about what these types of organisations do.

The BSIN partnership aims to aid the improvement and growth of the local social economy, while connecting like-minded people who are working for positive change.

3SG is a members’ community of over 200 social enterprises in B&NES.
