Sidra Shiraz
Solicitor

Sidra is a Solicitor in the Education Team, advising education clients on a wide range of day to day operational issues. Sidra also volunteers as an Independent Appeal Panel member and is involved in decisions relating to admissions appeals. 

Sidra advises education clients on the operational aspects of education law including: 

  • The Equality Act 2010 -  disability discrimination claims, Public Sector Equality Duty
  • Special educational needs and education, health and care plans
  • Exclusions and behaviour
  • Parental complaints
  • Admissions 

Prior to joining Stone King, Sidra worked as a qualified teacher for a number of years in a maintained school, and briefly at a pupil referral unit supporting and teaching pupils with special needs. 

Sidra attended the University of Birmingham for her undergraduate degree in LLB Law. She then attended BPP Law School to study the Legal Practice Course. 

Sidra also holds Qualified Teacher Status after undertaking the PGCE at Oxford Brookes University. 

Sidra has a young family who she very much enjoys utilising her spare time with by exploring the world through their lens.
