A group from Stone King recently completed the next leg of their challenge to cycle between all of the firm’s offices. They took in three offices over three days, starting from the London office, with a stop-off point in Cambridge before finally coming to an end in Birmingham. In total, over 206 miles were cycled.
So far this year and last year’s efforts combined have raised more than £12,000 for Cancer Research UK. Thank you so much for all your support, and if you would still like to donate, you can do so here.
Ollie Daw, Philip Askew and Alison Allen completed all three stages of the ride, and Frances Reynolds joined them for the first day, which comprised a 76 mile route from London to Cambridge. Tracey Hipkiss, Julie Moktadir, Emily Ball and Julianna Barker then met the team and cycled with them on the second day, from Cambridge to Northampton.
Special thanks must go to Ollie and Tracey, who are both experienced cyclists and who planned the beautiful route. The team are also grateful to the various family members who supported them by carrying their bags and cheering them on.
Alison Allen, Stone King’s Chair, said: “It was fantastic to cycle with such a varied group of people, many of whom had never ridden such a long distance before. It was truly a team effort.”
The next leg of this cycling challenge is already being planned for next year and will take participants from the firm’s Birmingham office to its Manchester office.
