Stone King has been recognised as a Best Law Firm for 2026 by The Times. This is the eighth year in a row that the firm has received this accolade.

Four of Stone King’s specialist practice areas have been singled out by The Times for their particularly positive feedback: charity, educationcommercial dispute resolution, and administrative and public law.

The firm has been ranked within the top three in England and Wales for its work with charities, and has been included in The Times Best Law Firms report for its high quality work in this area since its first publication for 2019. Stone King lawyers act for hundreds of charities across the sector, from household names, including many of the largest charities in the UK, through to local community groups.

This is the third time Stone King has been named by The Times for its dispute resolution work; a sustained vote of confidence as the team continues to go from strength to strength. The firm’s Dispute Resolution Team represents clients in many complex, high-value, and multi-jurisdictional disputes in the courts, in the tribunals and in alternative dispute resolution forums, including mediation.

We are also delighted that the firm’s recognition in the areas of education and administrative and public law have increased the total number of Stone King practice areas named in this report from two, last year, to four.

We are deeply committed to serving the education sector, and understand the opportunities and challenges met by educational institutions; our specialists have deep sector experience in all aspects of school and college provision.

We also act for a broad spectrum of public and regulatory sector bodies, across the full range of services needed. Be it public and regulatory law, procurement, employment, contract, or property related services, we understand the context in which public and regulatory bodies work.

The Times Best Law Firms 2026 recognises the most highly regarded law firms in England and Wales by practice area, as recommended by legal professionals. It is entirely peer-reviewed by individuals who fill out an anonymous survey through Statista, a company specialising in data gathering and visualisation.
