Ollie is a associate in the Employment Team. Ollie is an education employment specialist and is immersed in the education sector. Prior to practicing employment law Ollie advised parents and young people and the local authority on special educational needs and disability.
Ollie is regularly engaged on pay matters, his work has included achieving changes to holiday pay guidance and producing comprehensive freely available guidance on holiday pay, available here which was featured in national publications FE Week, available here, Schools Week, available here and in Chambers and Partners, see here.
Ollie advises a significant number of employers in the education and charity sector on the full range of employment matters.
Ollie’s experience includes advising and assisting schools on niche education employment matters including relating to discrimination, pay and conditions, recruitment and safeguarding.
Ollie is regularly engaged in Employment Tribunal litigation including in claims relating to discrimination, dismissal, whistleblowing and breach of contract.
Ollie continues to have a particular interest in discrimination matters involving competing protected characteristics which can be highly contentious for example in relation to gender, and religion and belief.
He graduated from the University of Sussex with a First Class Honours degree in Law and gained a Distinction in his Postgraduate Diploma in Law, having been recognised for his outstanding achievement.
Ollie loves cycling, he competes in cyclocross and cross-country mountain biking for his local club, Hub Velo CC and enjoys riding in Epping Forest.
